Grammy-winning country singer Larry Gatlin hails from Seminole, Texas, born into an oilfield family. He began showcasing his musical talents at an early age, joining his younger brothers Steve and Rudy in singing at family and church events. Larry’s songwriting prowess gained recognition in the Nashville music scene, propelling him into a solo career where he toured small clubs and listening rooms. As his brothers finished college, Larry eagerly anticipated the time when he could expand his live show to include them.
From 1976 to 1992, the Gatlin Brothers embarked on an extensive tour across the United States, Canada, and overseas, accumulating hit after hit and earning prestigious industry awards. Larry’s songwriting skills extended beyond the Gatlin Brothers’ repertoire, with his compositions recorded by iconic artists like Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, and Barbra Streisand. The pinnacle of their touring career came in 1992 with the ADIOS TOUR and a corresponding CD. A significant turning point occurred when Larry took the lead role in the Tony Award-winning musical “The Will Rogers Follies” on Broadway, garnering acclaim during its subsequent national tour.
In October 2019, Larry Gatlin received induction into the esteemed Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, recognizing his enduring impact on the industry. Residing in the Nashville area for over 40 years, Larry shares his life with Janis, his wife, and proud parents to two children, Josh and Kristin. The couple also revels in their roles as devoted grandparents, affectionately known as Papa and Nana.
While we would like all of our guests to experience the peak of our all-inclusive season (Memorial Day weekend through October 31st), we offer an opportunity to experience our Montana guest ranch at a lower rate during our cabin rentals season (November 1st through May 22nd). During this period, you can expect the same luxury accommodations and access to our beautiful property, but without the added benefits of all included meals, beverages, and guided experiences.
Regardless of when you stay at The Meadows on Rock Creek, we will make every effort to accommodate the needs of your group, as we strive for absolute satisfaction during your stay at our Montana ranch resort.
